Privacy Policy

InvoiceSnap is built with privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled. We collect the minimum necessary to provide the service.

We do not sell your data. We do not serve ads. Invoice content is never read or stored permanently.

1. What We Collect

2. What We Do Not Collect

Invoice content (line items, client addresses, amounts) — this lives only on your device
Browsing history or activity outside the extension
Payment card details (handled entirely by PayPal)
Location data
Any data from minors — InvoiceSnap is not intended for users under 18

3. How We Use Your Data

Device fingerprint: To look up your credit balance on each use.
Email: To recover your credits if you reinstall the extension on a new device. We do not send marketing emails.
Payment records: To verify purchases and resolve any credit disputes.
PDFs: Stored temporarily for re-download convenience only. Never read, analysed, or shared.

4. Third-Party Services

InvoiceSnap uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — database and file storage. Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant. Supabase Privacy Policy →
PayPal — payment processing. We pass only your fingerprint ID as a reference. PayPal handles all card and account data. PayPal Privacy Policy →

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

5. Data Retention

PDFs: Automatically deleted 30 days after generation.
Account data (fingerprint, email, credits): Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
Payment records: Retained for 7 years for financial compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent for optional data (email) at any time

7. Data Security

All data transmitted between the extension and our servers uses TLS encryption. Data stored in Supabase is encrypted at rest. We do not store payment card information at any point.

8. Children's Privacy

InvoiceSnap is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of InvoiceSnap after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
